Tozo is a relatively new audio company based out of Minneapolis, USA, with the majority of their products manufactured in China. They’re a budget option, for sure, but their products seem to live up to the hype, as reflected in their sales numbers.

So if you’re the proud new owner of a pair of Tozo earbuds, you might be wondering how to pair them with your various different devices.

So let’s take a look, starting with how to get your Tozo earbuds ready by putting them in pairing mode.

How to Put Tozo Earbuds in Pairing Mode

Thankfully, Tozo earbuds are generally pretty easy to put into pairing mode. Now, these steps may differ slightly depending on which model you have, but for specific instructions relating directly to your Tozo earbuds, check the manufacturer’s instructions that came with your earbuds.

  • First, ensure your Tozo earbuds are charged.
  • Next, remove them from their case. They should power up and link to each other in the process. This should take around 10 – 15 seconds.
  • The ‘master’ earbud (usually the right one) will automatically enter pairing mode. Red and blue lights will alert you that the headphone is ready to pair.

Done! As simple as that. For other models, usually older ones, the earbuds must be kept in the charging case in order to enter pairing mode. The steps putting these older models into pairing mode will usually follow a process similar to this:

  • Place your earbuds in the case
  • Hold down the button on the back of the case until the light begins to blink
  • The earbuds should now be ready to pair

Again, it’s important to remember that there is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution with Tozo earbuds, as different models will have different pairing processes. However, the first method should work for (most) newer models.

As always, check the instructions that came with your products to be certain.

Note: If you have already paired your Tozo earbuds with a device (other than the one you want to connect it to now), remember that they will connect to this device first, making it impossible for you to then establish a new connection with another device.

To avoid this, disable Bluetooth on the device you’ve already paired your Tozo earbuds with, and they should enter pairing mode instead of connecting to it.

How to Pair Tozo Earbuds with iPhone

Now you’ve got your Tozo earbuds in pairing mode, you’re ready to connect them to your iPhone! This is a straightforward process and should take no longer than a minute.

  • With your Tozo earbuds in pairing mode, open Settings on your iPhone
  • Next, open Bluetooth, and if it’s not already, turn Bluetooth on.
  • In the list of available devices, you should see your Tozo earbuds
  • Simply tap on them to initiate the connection process

Done! As simple as that.

How to Pair Tozo Earbuds with Android

This is a very similar process to the steps you need to follow to pair your earbuds with an iPhone.

  • With your Tozo earbuds in pairing mode, open Settings on your Android device
  • Open the Bluetooth settings menu
  • If you haven’t already, enable Bluetooth, then tap Pair New Device
  • Select your Tozo earbuds from the list, tap them, and the pairing process should initiate

There you go! Told you it was simple! Now let’s take a look at how you might go about pairing your Tozo earbuds to a computer or Macbook.

How to Pair Tozo Earbuds with a Mac

This is essentially the same process as with a mobile device – and yes, it’s simple and easy!

  • With your Tozo earbuds in pairing mode, click the Apple logo in the top left corner of the screen.
  • Select System Preferences > Bluetooth
  • In the Bluetooth menu you should see a list of available devices
  • Simply select your Tozo earbuds and click to pair

How to Pair Tozo Earbuds with a PC

With a laptop or desktop computer running Windows, the steps are slightly different, but still easy nonetheless. The only time that problems can arise is if you’re using an older machine.

Sometimes, you may need a Bluetooth adaptor. Most of the time, if you’re having issues, the problem will lie with your PC’s Bluetooth drivers. Make sure to update them if you run into trouble.

  • Open the Start Menu and search for Settings
  • Select Bluetooth & Other Devices
  • Select Add Bluetooth or Other Device
  • Wait for your Tozo earbuds to appear as an available device, then click them to connect

And that’s it! Your Tozo earbuds should now be connected to your laptop or desktop PC.

Potential Problems with Tozo Bluetooth Connectivity

Tozo earbuds are generally pretty good when it comes to establishing and maintaining a Bluetooth connection, but as always, there are some things that can get in the way.

I mentioned earlier about the problems trying to connect Tozo earbuds to a second device when they are already paired and connected to another device, so keep your eye on that if you’re trying to set up a new connection.

Another thing to bear in mind, mentioned in the ‘Pair with a PC’ section, is the potential problems with Bluetooth drivers and adapters on older PCs.

Also keep an eye on the battery levels of all devices – your iPhone or Android, your Macbook or laptop, and the Tozo headphones themselves. When battery levels get too low, electrical items can start to lose functionality, and Bluetooth capabilities may be one of the first things to go!

How to Reset Tozo Earbuds

If you’re still having issues, try performing a restart on your Tozo earbuds by following these steps:

  • On your connected device (if you managed to connect – skip this step if not!), open your Bluetooth settings menu, and Forget your Tozo earbuds.
  • Remove your earbuds from the charging case and hold down the pressure pad touch buttons on the earbuds themselves to turn them off. This should take around 3 seconds.
  • Hold down the pressure pad touch buttons on the earbuds again, for around 8-10 seconds.
  • The right earbud should start to flash red and blue, indicating that the earbuds have restarted.

This process may vary from model to model, so be sure to check the manufacturer’s instructions that came with your earbuds!

Final Thoughts

As you can see, pairing Tozo earbuds with just about any device is super easy! These affordable earbuds are certainly going to make a dent in the ever-growing and hyper-competitive wireless headphone market, so keep your eyes on them, and maybe consider grabbing a pair while they’re still so reasonable!
