Every year I tend to postpone gear purchases from August-September till the start of the November holiday shopping sale (black friday & cyber monday weekend). For things I don't require urgently, I tend to save up quite a bit of cash this way.
This year, deals have already started to appear across the major online retailers of guitar gear, and quite a few of them are looking very impressive. I couldn't help myself from curating a few that particularly caught my eyes.
Another reason behind crafting this article and curating these deals by hand is that I'm now more tired than ever of gigantic publishers curating deals pages with the help of AI, thus ending up with a sub-par selection and claiming almost every random deal across dozens of retailers to be an unmissable one!
So, here's my list, after actually scouring the web the old fashioned way for guitar deals for the last 4-5 hours. I'll keep this article updated with new deals as I discover them, as much as humanly possible.
These are the top places where you can grab some black friday / cyber monday guitar deals, and this is where you need to check for newly added gear deals:

Now it's time for my favorite ones. I'll try to add new ones to the list below if I spot anything exciting surfacing. But for very limited-quantity / lightning kind of deals, honestly you'd be better of bookmarking the pages of the actual retailers that I've linked to above.
Electric Guitars
$129 $99 (17% off)
Squier's newly introduced Stratocasters are available at under $100, which is a first for any Fender-backed Strat. Not only that, you also get free access to Fender Play (their online lessons platform) for a while, making this deal even more attractive for beginners. These guitars are surprisingly well made, boasting a smooth neck and the traditional SSS pickup configuration. It sounds just as good as other Squier Strats under $200 (in fact I found it even better than older 'Bullet' models).
$699 $549 (21% off)
The outgoing Player-series Stratocasters are being heavily discounted by Guitar Center. These made-in-Mexico Strats are currently the cheapest Strats boasting the prestigious Fender logo that you can get your hands on.
$2,599 $1,999 (23% off)
Now this is an incredible deal on made-in-USA Gibson Les Paul Standard '50s & '60s models, available in a stunning Cardinal Red finish. Needless to say, these are available in extremely limited quantities so grab one while you can!
$2,899 $1,999 (31% off)
The NF 53 is PRS' take on the Telecaster, and it used to be completely out of reach for most of us mere mortals, until now! Check out this detailed piece on our blog for more on this particular guitar and how it's proven itself to be a huge winner for PRS already.
$999 $599 (40% off)
A solid alder body, dual USA Z humbuckers, a carbon fiber-reinforced neck with an ebony fretboard; these are just some of the highlights of this Schecter axe which is currently available at a whopping 40% discount only on Sweetwater!
Up to $200 off
Yamaha is synonymous with value-for-money guitars, and I keep suggesting them to my students and relatives who are just starting out. Revstar and Pacifica are two of my favorites, and you're now getting a sizable discount on those, AND other Yamaha guitars!
$979 $799 (18% off)
This Schecter is more than just a metal-hugging shred machine. It's super versatile. You get the taste of traditional heavy tones thanks to the EMG 81 at the bridge and endless sustain thanks to the Sustainac neck pickup. I'm also a huge fan of the slim maple neck that offers incredible playability.
$549 $449 (18% off)
These 'traditional' Epiphone Les Pauls come in four 'worn' finishes and packs a tremendous set of features for the price like locking tuners, coil-splitting, an all-mahogany body (maple top) and Alnico pickups for that classic Les Paul tone and sustain.
$349 $199 (43% off)
These Music Man guitars offer an insane level of versatility (HSS or SSS, maple or laurel fretboards, etc.) and overall quality. These can be the perfect choice for guitar beginners over other similarly priced models from the likes of Squier. At under $200, this deal is super lucrative!
$699 $594 (15% off)
If the NF 53 is out of your budget or you're simply not into T-style guitars, the PRS SE CE 24 (that's quite a handful, I know!) might be the perfect PRS deal for you this season. Articulate coil-splitting equipped dual humbuckers, great tuning stability, a slick neck offering amazing playability and a finish worth looking at!
Acoustic Guitars
$399 $199 (50% off)
This Epiphone acoustic-electric guitar has a mahogany body, spruce top, rosewood fretboard and a Fishman PreSys preamp. I've been a fan of this potent electro-acoustic for quite some time now, and now at this reduced price I feel it's a no brainer!
$499 $299 (40% off)
The Cordoba Fusion 5 is the perfect nylon-string acoustic-electric guitar for those who want an easy transition from steel-strings. Its compact dimensions make it incredibly comfortable play, especially for people with smaller hands. The Fishman Sonitone onboard pickup is also quite good for the price.
Up to $200 off
Just like their electrics, Yamaha has also introduced similar discounts for many of their acoustics, including nylon-string and smaller guitars. Definitely worth a look if you were looking for a value-for-money acoustic!
Guitar Gear
Up to 46% off
BOSS is the OG favorite pedal brand of countless guitarists including me. Several BOSS pedals like the SD-1 Super Overdrive, BD-2 Blues Driver, CH-1 Stereo Super Chorus, RC-5 Loop Station and many other legendary pedals are available at a 15-25% discount right now. I even spotted one pedal (DM-101) at 46% off!
Flat 25% off
JHS produces too many pedals to keep track of, but the good news is they're offering a flat 25% discount on all of them! Some of them, like the Morning Glory (transparent overdrive) and the 3 Series Delay are my favorites!
Up to $130 off
The Katana line of amps are more than just plain modeling amps at this point. BOSS is now offering sizable discounts on their newest Gen 3 lineup of Katana amps, which are more potent than ever before, as you can read about in this article on our blog.
Flat $50 off
UAD's amp-in-a-pedals are a super hot topic right now, with people as influential as The Edge starting to rely on their amp simulation pedals for live shows. Right now, most of those pedals are discounted by $50. You can read more about amp modeling pedals in our detailed editorial piece.
$230 $149 (35% off)
The Hog 20 is a new offering from Pignose, which has a niche following. This portable amp comes with minimalistic controls and a potent squeal knob that instantly sends it to overdrive heaven. It can run on both (rechargeable) battery and wall power. The 20W power-rating and 6.5-inch speaker is ideal for buskers and solo practice sessions for people who prefer a no-frills approach towards amps.
Common Points of Significance
- Black friday is on 29th November this year (the day after thanksgiving), and cyber monday is on 2nd December. But you can expect most of the deals to go live from mid-November.
- If you're like me, you already have a 'to-get list' (prepared well in advance). And you go by it, unless something super similar in functionality surfaces for an unmissable discount. So in this case, it's always better to browse even the less popular e-commerce sites (in US that'd be places like zZounds) to ensure you're getting the best price, before pulling the trigger.
- Lastly, always buy based on your actual requirements, and not based on whatever deal is seeming the spiciest. I know, easier said than done!
Happy (axe & beyond) shopping!
